Top Uses of a Canopy Tent

Everybody loves to make a great impression. After all, that’s often what remains long after a first meeting. One of the best ways for your church to make a great first impression is with a canopy tent with a purpose.

Radiant Printing’s canopy tents are clear and visible from a long distance. Add the benefit of custom branding along with a well-crafted purpose for the canopy, and you’ve got yourself a very effective tool for making a great first impression.

What are some of the most practical ways to use a canopy tent? Let’s take a look.

  1. First stop for first-time guests. Probably the most common use of canopy tents that we’ve seen is to create a space where first-time guests can stop by to connect with someone before entering the building. With instructions on the canopy reading “First time? Start here.” or something to that effect, guests can elect whether they want to remain incognito or connect with someone who is ready to show them around. Many churches will give them an opportunity to fill out a connection card and give them a gift before taking them into the building and showing them around.
  2. Better drop-off area in case of weather. If your building doesn’t have a canopy for rain cover during drop-off, adding a canopy tent to the front of the building can be a great way to help people stay comfortable on mornings when bad weather is an issue.
  3. Better visibility for the entrance in a large space. Whether your church is meeting in a small space with a single entrance or a large space with a large parking lot and several possible entrances, it is very helpful to have something to clearly identify the main entrance. Even if you allow your regulars to enter through multiple entrances, it is often helpful to have a single entrance through which you funnel first-time guests and have a team of volunteers awaiting them for a friendly greeting and any assistance they may require.
  4. Extend your lobby space. We know of at least one church in the south that has a great building, but a very small lobby. This church uses a 20’ x 10’ canopy for extra gathering space before and after service.
  5. Community outreach station. When you have outreach events in the community, it is often helpful to provide a central station where people can gather for signup or to pick up supplies (depending on the need). When you show up at the park on Saturday, look for the blue tent. That kind of thing. Additionally, this is a presence in the community so those who are being ministered to or observing the ministry can know who is responsible for this investment in their community. Win-Win!

Radiant Printing’s canopy tents come in three size options (10’ x 10’, 10’ x 15’, or 10’ x 20’). They can be designed to print in any color and come with the hardware and the canopy.
